Gpeg-2

The GPEG2 codec is a real-time MPEG-2 encoder that harnesses the computing power of graphic processors(GPU's) available today. It accelerates video and image encoding to encode at incredible frame rates.

Compression is realized on the GPU and decompression on CPU using aproved technologies.

Directshow codec

GPEG2 video codec is a video compressor / decompressor that registers into Windows® multimedia drivers and integrate whit any application using Directshow( Virtualdub, Adobe Premiere,....). Existing video players, such as Windows® Media Player®, Media Player Classic can use this codec to play MPEG-2 streams.

Main features

The GPEG2 video codec supports several levels and profiles. Source formats supported range from Limiter Definition( VCR quality) to full HDTV( 720p or 1080p) - each with a rand of 1Mbit/s to 50 Mbit/s bitrates.
